Female partner-owned Bosch Car Service centre group Auto Expedi8, which has six service centres across Gauteng, has acquires the Bosch Meyerton franchise. This follows the opening of the Group’s most recent Bosch service centre at the Springs Mall. The Group now includes branches at Gateway Alberton; Alberton City; Reef Shopping Germiston; Rifle Range Johannesburg South; and Mall of the South.
The Meyerton branch is part of Auto Expedi8’s expanding footprint across the south of Johannesburg, East Rand and Midvaal area. “The opening of the Meyerton branch has strengthened the group’s capacity, accommodating a growing customer base while maintaining Bosch’s international standards,” said Managing Director and co-founder Jenene Cronning who started the Business with her brother Walter Gale in 2006.
“Auto Expedi8 has been in operation now for 20 years, employing women across both technical and administrative roles, and stands as a beacon of empowerment in the male-dominated automotive sector,” Cronning noted, who is a high-profile global business development executive with over 25 years’ leadership in commercial market ventures. ”We have a commitment to expanding opportunities for women in a sector where qualified technicians remain a scarce skill in South Africa.”
She noted that Auto Expedi8 participates in the Bosch Master Technician programme, which specialises in diagnosis, repair and vehicle maintenance. The programme provides comprehensive training in areas such as vehicle diagnostics, electronic systems, engine management and advanced automotive technologies. It also emphasises modern systems, including driver assistance technologies and high-voltage components, preparing technicians to handle increasingly complex vehicle repairs.
“The certification is internationally recognised, with training aimed at improving workshop efficiency, reducing customer wait times and enhancing overall service quality,” Cronning added. “With expertise across petrol, diesel, electronics, brakes and electric vehicle systems, Bosch Master Technicians are equipped to meet the evolving demands of the global automotive industry. This mirrors the global curriculum we’ve mastered through extensive formal and in-house training, including overseas programmes that keep pace with industry trends.” Ends
